About

Skylar Anthony — Lead Trainer & Behaviorist

Skylar bridges the gap between neuroscience and practical training, combining scientific understanding with years of real-world experience. Her graduate research in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience informs her science-based approach to behavior modification and obedience training.

With more than a decade in the field, Skylar has worked with service dogs, working K9s, and family pets. Her experience ranges from training dogs for complex working roles to helping households navigate behavioral challenges and build strong, lasting bonds with their pets. Her approach emphasizes not just teaching dogs, but educating owners — empowering families with the knowledge and tools needed for sustainable results.

At Mindful Paws, Skylar designs each program to reflect both the unique needs of the dog and the family’s lifestyle. Whether addressing reactivity, anxiety, or advanced obedience, her goal remains the same: foster a happy, confident dog and a connected, knowledgable owner.
